Founded in 1888 Northern AFC is the oldest continually operating football club in the Southern Hemisphere.
The club is based in the city of Dunedin, within the Southern Football Federation region of the New Zealand Football structure.
The club has 12 senior teams, ranging from Men's and Women's Premiership teams, Men's and Women's Reserves, Men's Third and Fourth grade teams, and a Men's over 45's masters grade, and a junior club with teams from 6th grade through to Youth grade.
The club's Senior and Junior home grounds are at The Caledonian Ground, Logan Park Turf, the Gardens Ground (The Clubrooms), Chingford Park, and Forrester Park, all are in the Northern Dunedin area of the city.
Northern AFC, eller på maori Te Tai Tokerau, er et profesjonelt fotballalag fra Whangārei, New Zealand. Laget ble stiftet i 2004 og spiller sine kamper på Toll Stadium. Northern AFC deltar i Northern League, den øverste divisjonen i New Zealands fotballsystem.
Lagets draktfarger er blå og hvit, og deres kallenavn er "The Navy Blues". Northern AFC har vunnet Northern League én gang, i 2017. De har også nådd finalen i Chatham Cup, det nasjonale mesterskapet i New Zealand, to ganger, i 2015 og 2017.
Northern AFC har en sterk ungdomsavdeling, og har produsert flere spillere som har gått videre til å representere New Zealand på internasjonalt nivå. Laget har også et sterkt forhold til lokalsamfunnet, og jobber for å fremme fotball på alle nivåer i Northland-regionen.
