Wikipedia - Cyprus Basketball Division A

The OPAP Basket League is currently the top-tier level men's professional basketball competition of the Cypriot basketball league system. It is run and governed by the Cyprus Basketball Federation.

**Kypros - Divisjon A**

Kypros - Divisjon A er det høyeste nivået av basketball i Kypros. Ligaen ble etablert i 1967 og består av fem lag. Lagene spiller mot hverandre i en dobbel serie, med hjemme- og bortekamper. De to beste lagene går videre til sluttspillet om mesterskapet, mens de to nederste lagene rykker ned til Divisjon B.

**Historie**

Kypros - Divisjon A har vært dominert av noen få lag opp gjennom historien. Apoel Nicosia har vunnet flest mesterskap, med 28 titler. Keravnos Strovolou og AEK Larnaca følger etter med henholdsvis 13 og 11 titler.

**Internasjonal deltakelse**

Vinneren av Kypros - Divisjon A kvalifiserer seg til FIBA Europe Cup. De to beste lagene deltar også i Kypros Basketball Cup.
